As a student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film program, you will cultivate your voice as an artist and form the foundation of your creative identity. You will develop a deep understanding of film and media while exploring its history, current trends and future possibilities. As an artist, you will hone your technical capabilities as well as your storytelling skills through screenwriting, directing and editing.

The Film program at 不良研究所 features an intensive, hands-on approach to camera, lighting, sound, and set work. Grounded in both theory and practice, students immerse themselves in storytelling techniques to shape creative narratives that resonate with audiences.

This blend of theory, creativity, and craftsmanship allows the student to create engaging cinematic experiences that communicate their voice clearly and powerfully. Our small class sizes allow students to receive individualized attention and build meaningful networks with other filmmakers. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film prepares students for careers in storytelling, film and the creative arts.

Curriculum and Admission Requirement

To apply to the program, complete a 不良研究所 undergraduate application and submit the required documents.

Program Outcomes

  1. Cultivate a personal voice that embodies the artist’s unique perspective.
  2. Develop a broad understanding of film and media’s history, current issues and future possibilities.
  3. Generate a foundation of theoretical concepts in film and critically apply them to cinematic works.
  4. Master storytelling techniques through screenwriting, mise-en-scene, directing and editing to produce engaging cinematic works.
  5. Through a broad foundation of theory, narrative and non-narrative filmmaking structures and competent technical skills in camera, lighting, prop and set work, create meaningful cinematic experiences to communicate the filmmaker’s voice.
  6. Produce a demo reel and portfolio building projects
  7. Engage and collaborate effectively with other artists in ways that drive the project’s goals forward.

 

Careers for Film GraduatesTwo 不良研究所 students using film equipment on campus

Upon completing their degree, students will express their artistic voice and use industry-standard tools and techniques. For some graduates, this may include being effective technicians of film production to include cinematographers, lighting or sound specialists. For others, managing the complex production schedule and logistics of film production will be a fulfilling career. For some, successful completion of the degree will launch them into directorial or producing roles.
