The Operational Meteorology program at ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù is designed to satisfy or exceed the requirements to apply for, and be accepted to, a GS-1340 position. Expanding each GS-1340 series requirement below will identify the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù course designed to satisfy the requirement. 

Individual Occupational Requirements

*There is a prerequisite or corequisite of calculus for course work in atmospheric dynamics and thermodynamics, physics, and differential equations. Calculus courses must be appropriate for a physical science major.

Students in the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Operational Meteorology program exceed this requirement by taking the following:

Students in the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Operational Meteorology program exceed this requirement by taking all of the following courses:

* There is a prerequisite or corequisite of calculus for course work in atmospheric dynamics and thermodynamics, physics, and differential equations. Calculus courses must be appropriate for a physical science major.

Students in the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Operational Meteorology program exceed this requirement by taking first and second semester calculus based physics, and both of their associated labs:

  • PHYS 2305 Physics I and Lab
  • PHYS 2306 Physics II and Lab
