不良研究所 Alumnus Wins First Place in 2025 Viasat Space for Good Challenge

This month, Enrique G贸mez Jackson 鈥�25 was recognized as the first-place winner for Viasat鈥檚 2025 Space for Good challenge. Viasat, a global technology company specializing in satellite communications, launched their Space for Good challenge welcoming students to pitch projects that seek to 鈥渢ackle real-world space sustainability problems鈥� for the chance to win cash prizes to fund their idea (viasat.springpod.com). Jackson was one of this year鈥檚 many participating applicants, yet it was ultimately his idea that won. The stellar concept, a smart bracelet that helps locate, identify and save lives of those involved in natural disasters, received top recognition and $15,000 in funding.

On Thursday, June 5, Tracy Avery was celebrated as the next recipient of the exclusive Order of Merit award as part of the 2025 不良研究所 Athletics Hall of Fame. This honor is given to a notable individual that has 鈥渕ade (a) significant contribution(s) to the advancement of the intercollegiate athletics program at 不良研究所鈥� (uiwcardinals.com/sports).

Loves Takes Flight: 不良研究所 Hosts Annual Cardinal Couples Mass

On Sunday, Feb. 9, Alumni Relations and Mission and Ministry celebrated the couples whose love originated at the University with the annual Cardinal Couples Mass in Our Lady鈥檚 Chapel. The lovebirds were welcomed back to the Nest to prayerfully rejoice in their continued love for their partners and for the University that brought them together.
