Dr. Michael Frye is a tenured Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Jones Endowed Chair of Engineering at 不良研究所. He is the Director of the AVS Lab and is responsible for the research and management of the laboratory. Dr. Frye has a background in flight controls and modeling of fixed and rotorcraft vehicles. Dr. Frye earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2006 and received his tenure-track appointment at 不良研究所 in August 2007. He teaches courses in electrical engineering, engineering mathematics, control theory and machine learning. Prior to joining 不良研究所, Dr. Frye worked for Continental Airlines on predictive windshear systems, Lockheed Martin Skunkworks on avionics and flight controls, NASA Ames/Army Rotorcraft Directorate on rotorcraft modeling and control, and the Southwest Research Institute on signal estimation and detection. Dr. Frye is a licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot.
