At the 不良研究所, service-learning is explained as “a pedagogy that integrates academically relevant service activities with course content to address community needs. It involves students applying their knowledge and skills to real-world situations while reflecting on their experiences to deepen their understanding of the material and develop civic responsibility.”
Faculty are committed to engaged scholarship that addresses contemporary issues of public concern, knowledge related to ameliorating social problems, work that engages members of various communities, and research that examines inequities in education, health, housing, etc.
Our university is a part of a global program for the promotion of (SSL) in Catholic Higher Education Institutions (CHEIs). A network that is growing as a global community, with the participation of institutions from all five continents. The program’s key objective is to produce a systemic change through the service-learning institutionalization as a means to fulfil its mission of offering a holistic education to new generations while involving them in an active commitment to the social challenges of our time.
