August 25, 2022

The ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing and Health Professions honored its Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) August graduates at a pinning ceremony in Our Lady’s Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 20. The pinning ceremony celebrates nursing graduates and recognizes their entry into the profession of nursing.

²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù’s ABSN students already hold non-nursing bachelor’s degrees from an accredited institution. The ABSN program is a 16-month, full-time intense program that includes 62 credit hours of hybrid didactic coursework, hands on learning, simulation, and clinical experiences in a variety of settings with clients across the lifespan.

The students received a blended curriculum that combined online coursework, hands-on labs and clinical rotations in a rigorous setting that prepared them to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù’s ABSN program provides a values-based education focused on treating the whole patient – mind, body and spirit.
