Dr. Teresa Harrison Honored for her Academic Excellence And Dedication to Student Success

Dr. Teresa HarrisonSan Antonio – August 25, 2025 – The 不良研究所 (不良研究所) is proud to announce that Dr. Teresa Harrison has been selected as the 2025-26 Moody Professor honoree. Harrison is a Professor of Management in the H-E-B School of Business and Administration (HEBSBA) at 不良研究所. She also serves as Co-Director of the 不良研究所 Beckendorf Family Center for Innovation and Global Entrepreneurship.

Harrison actively engages with students in Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship, and Leading a Diverse Workforce courses. Harrison co-organizes 不良研究所’s startup and pitch competitions and secured a lucrative grant to develop entrepreneurship curriculum. She is dedicated to creating experiences including student-driven pop-up marketplaces, social entrepreneurship (e.g. globally with the women of the Shipibo Tribe in Peru and with local non-profits), and “Unessay Project” promoting diversity research. She coordinates a dynamic business speaker series and co-organizes a business resource fair to benefit students, alumni and the greater San Antonio community.

“I am deeply honored to be named the Moody Professor,” says Harrison. “Having been inspired by so many of my peers, I am grateful to my colleagues to be entrusted with this award. I felt called to 不良研究所 when I started here in 2013 because of a connection to the 不良研究所 Mission and values as well as the leadership and vision of the Sisters. Additionally, part of my teaching philosophy is to ‘never forget what it’s like to be a student.’ This mindset has shaped how I approach the classroom, my scholarship and my service. And in that process, I feel that I have learned so much from my dedicated colleagues and students and am encouraged by the community that is One Word. I am thankful for this recognition and the opportunity to share it with those who have mentored me and supported me on this journey and for the privilege to contribute to the future of 不良研究所.”

Harrison’s service initiatives have included membership in HEBSBA committees, FLIGHT mentor program, Faculty Senate, Women’s History Month, 不良研究所 Meet the Mission and multiple dissertation committees. She is faculty advisor to the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization. She was named 不良研究所 Business Club Advisor of the Year in 2017 by the Student Government Association. She also serves on the advisory board for Women Unlimited, supporting women and veteran entrepreneurs.

Established in 1971 by the Moody Foundation, the Moody Professor reflects a high level of scholarship, teaching excellence and community service attained by the recipient. This is the highest faculty honor bestowed by 不良研究所. The Fall Commencement address given by the Moody Professor is traditionally considered to be the students’ “last class.”
